Mmmmm

Clean and classy. I'm liking this one.

OzynO responds:

Umm I'm Liking you!, but not in a weird way..>.> Ill just go back to playing super metroid then..

ahhhh

my brain! There's less of it now :(

Nicol3 responds:

You can borrow some of mine if you want.

Lotsa leftovers

classy

yup

J-qb responds:

Weird

it does kinda feel like those high class modernism paintings... but I don't really like those guys. Does have a strange appeal to it though. You should definitely spend some quality time on it though. Spend 2-3 hours just choosing color palettes and see what happens. Hopefully something good since color palette is very important to pixel art.

EventHorizon responds:

ok, I understand, thanks for the review!

mmmm

soo good. I love everything but the friday flood logo just stamped on in the corner :(

Also what's that jizz stuff up on the right?

TurkeyOnAStick responds:

Yeah, sorry bout the logo.
Jizz stuff up on the right was an experiment, I wanted to see if Apophysis fractals would help with the whizzy lines. They don't.

Some

of the gradients work out well, but the white ones around his head and on the left are a bit harsh and too computer generatedy... I think you're trying to emulate a spray paint effect? Some subtle texture, or implication that it's paint would be some nice steps away from what it is now.

The line work is pretty classy tho

Ashman responds:

funny you say about the linework since i fucked it up so many times during the process of it, good to see the salvage job is unnoticeable

I want...

A slightly jagged lined background, I think it would fit the overall theme better. Feels too clean and uniform in comparison to the way everything else is drawn.

Luxembourg responds:

If you're comparing it to all the other flood pics, I couldn't have made it to fit with everything else because I was the first person in the forum to finish a piece for the flood. I do like the idea of a jagged background, though, and that would actually fit the word bubble above the rabbit as well.
Thanks for dropping a review, Savory.

Blargh

eh I actually kinda like it, except for the background. Is that a smudge or smear tool? I would use that very sparingly. Have you ever checked this guy's tutorials out?

It helped me out quite a bit, although all you really need is time and practice.

SourCherryJack responds:

No I would never ever use a smear/smudge tool, ever. Its some random ass light paint brush thing I use for shading most of the time.

Yesss

Glad you didn't take the lame way out and just paste the rabbit in somewhere. The picture reminds me of Little House on the Prairie, librarians, and goth kids. The arms are kinda short, which is something that always bugs me, but other than that I like it.

SirCannabisClock responds:

Lol goth? You butthole.

Arms critique dully noted, though I still can't see a blatant problem with their actual length. I think the true problem is the overall shape of the right forearm past the elbow and the shading.

lolol

I was thinking of doing this, but it looks like I don't think mine would've been quite as cool

Jobertson responds:

If anything i think yours would be cooler..
I love what you did with your entry anyway :3
